Modifying Headers and Footers

Many web sites use standard headers and footers on all of their pages to provide common information, such as copyright and contact information, or to provide standard links that make it easy to navigate to specific portions of a site. Watson™ Explorer Engine makes it easy to add this information to your applications in order to make them consistent with your web site's look and feel.

Adding custom HTML to your application is done using the Settings tab's Theme > Simple pane, as shown earlier in Figure 2.

To provide custom HTML in the header or footer of your application's query and search results pages

  1. Click edit and
  2. Scroll down
  3. Enter custom HTML or text in the Header HTML or Footer HTML text entry boxes.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.

The query and results screens will display your custom header or footer the next time that you use or test your application.
