Getting started with assets
Your asset collection is core to your business. It's where you store all your images, videos, and other files that are used in your online channels.
To set up your hub, go to from your hub's navigation ribbon.
Step 1: Upload some assets
-
Clicking Upload assets or dropping an asset onto the asset widget on the Overview page.
-
Opening one of the asset views from the navigation ribbon, and clicking Upload assets.
-
Using a command line interface (CLI).
-
Uploading an asset to a field on a content form.
Step 2: Watch as Watson tags your assets
-
After you upload an asset, Watson™ will analyze compatible file types and automatically assign tags to your asset.
-
You can accept or reject the tags Watson suggests, plus add your own tags.
-
Clever tagging allows your composers to more easily find the assets they need to build their content.
Step 3: Review and approve your assets
-
Other hub users can add comments to your draft assets using the comments tab of the asset form.
-
You can set up informal reviews from the review tab of the asset form.
-
Users of the Standard or Trial editions can also configure mandatory approvals of assets. With this feature enabled, assets can't be published until an authorized user approves the asset.
Step 4: Use your assets in content, websites, or apps
-
When composing content, composers can select assets from your hub's asset collection.
-
Developers, using the Acoustic Content API and the API Explorer, can reference published assets in web pages or apps either directly from your hub's asset collection, or from a field in a content item stored in your hub's content collection.
-
Developers can view API information from the asset form including the asset ID, authoring URL, and JSON details.
