Versions
With version control enabled, multiple snapshots of content items and assets will be stored on your hub, allowing users to revert back to previous versions of draft and published items when necessary.
Administrators can enable version control for their hub from .
When are versions created?
- Every ten minutes after the last edit.
- When a resource, such as an image or file, is updated in an asset.
A major version is created every time an asset or content item is published. Major versions are applied to published items only and are numbered as 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and so on. Minor versions are applied to draft items and are numbered as 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and so on.
How long are versions retained?
| Type of item | Maximum versions retained | Maximum number of days retained |
|---|---|---|
| All draft items | 30 most recent versions | 90 days |
| All published items | 5 most recent versions | 365 days |
Restoring versions
Versions are displayed in the history view of both draft and published content items or assets. When you click Make current from one of the listed versions, a new draft is created, allowing you to edit and publish that version of the content item or asset.
