Known problems and limitations for web applications

A known problem can apply when you are working with WebSphere® Developer Tools. You can have a problem when you import a WAR file that does not have a deployment descriptor.

Limitation when you import a WAR file that does not have a deployment descriptor

If you attempt to import a WAR file using the option File > Import > Web > WAR file, and the WAR file that you select does not have a deployment descriptor, web.xml, and you select a Liberty server configured with a JRE version 6 or earlier as the target runtime, the OK button is not enabled, and no error is displayed in the wizard.
