Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method, that relies on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags.
An RFID Slap and Ship Label has an RFID tag incorporated into the label. This enables it to receive information and respond to radio frequency queries from an RFID transceiver, which expedites the scanning and tracking of items. RFID Slap and Ship Labels are printed for the outermost cartons and pallets. They are applied as a part of the standard Pick or Pack process.
The RFID tag contains information about the GTIN (Global Trade Identification) number and UPC number.
Two types of RFID Slap and Ship Labels can be printed:
Single-SKU RFID Slap and Ship Labels are printed when there is only one SKU in the container.
