Generating license usage report
You can generate the license usage report to identify the CPU cores that are being used for your VM Recovery Manager HA installation.
VM Recovery Manager HA licensing model is based on the number of CPU cores of managed virtual machines. The license requirement depends on the sum of all CPU cores of virtual machines on the home host. At the backup host, if the number of CPU cores that is being used upon failover is greater than the number of CPU cores that was used at the home host prior to failover, the license requirement will be based on the number of CPU cores at the backup host.
To identify the CPU cores of each LPAR, run the following command in the HMC:
lshwres -r proc -m <Managed system> --level lpar --filter "lpar_names=<LPAR name>"
