IBM® VM Recovery Manager HA for Power Systems Version 1.10 is the major release of the IBM VM Recovery Manager HA for Power Systems.

New functions for VM Recovery Manager HA for Power Systems Version 1.10.0

Upgrading AIX VM agents from version 1.10

You can now preserves existing application configuration files during Linux and AIX VM agent upgrades, helping simplify the upgrade process while retaining customized settings. For more information, see Upgrading AIX VM agents from version 1.10.

Policy-based high availability is supported in HA environments.

Installation and migration

Before you install the VM Recovery Manager HA fileset, install the VIOS interim fix. For more information about VIOS interim fix installation, see Installing VM Recovery Manager HA.

Man pages
The man pages for the VM Recovery Manager HA commands related to ksysmgr are provided in the ksys.main.msg.en_US.cmds fileset, the commands related to the ksysvmmgr are provided in the ksys.vmmon.rte file. To view the man pages from the command line, enter man command_name (where command_name is the name of the command). You can use the ksysmgr command to perform all VM Recovery Manager HA operations. Also, you can use the ksysvmmgr command for VM level health and application monitoring.
