Workgroup dashboard
You can perform failover rehearsal, move workgroup, add and modify VLAN and Vswitch mappings, discover and verify workgroup and post operations using the workgroup dashboard features,
Failover Rehearsal
To perform a failover rehearsal for a workgroup, complete the following steps:
- Click Failover Rehearsal.
- Click Start Failover Rehearsal.
- Click Yes to initiate the rehearsal.
Moving a workgroup
To move a workgroup to another site, complete the following steps:
- Click Move WorkGroup.
- Choose Planned or Unplanned move.
- Click Move WorkGroup to initiate the move.
Adding VLAN mapping
If you have to add new VLAN mapping in work group, complete the following steps:
- Click Add New VLAN Mapping.
- Add the VLAN details.
- Click Save & Update.

Adding VSwitch mapping
To add new VSwitch mapping in work group, complete the following steps:
- Click Add New VSwitch Mapping.
- Add the VSwitch details.
- Click Save & Update.

Discover and Verify
- Discover WorkGroup
- To discover all VMs
of all workgroup, complete the following steps:
- Click Discover & Verify, then select Discover WorkGroup from the dropdown.
- Click Discover to initiate the discovery.
- Verify WorkGroup
- To verify all nodes of a workgroup, complete the following steps:
- Click Discover & Verify, then select Verify
WorkGroup from the dropdown.Note: For HADR and HADRHA clusters, the Verify WorkGroup dialog includes a Continue with DR only option, which allows you to run the verification in DR-only mode by limiting the operation to DR-specific checks.
- Click Verify to complete the verification.
- Click Discover & Verify, then select Verify
WorkGroup from the dropdown.
- Discover and Verify WorkGroup
- To discover and verify all workgroupa, complete the following steps:
- Click Discover & Verify, then select Discover & Verify from the dropdown.
- Click Discover and verify to initiate the discovery and verification.
- Edit or Delete WorkGroup
- To edit or delete a WorkGroup, complete the following steps:
- In the Existing WorkGroups panel, locate the WorkGroup you want to update..
- Click the Edit icon next to the WorkGroup name. You are redirected to the Create WorkGroup page with the selected WorkGroup preloaded.
- Update the WorkGroup Name or modify the selected virtual machines (VMs) as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- To delete a WorkGroup, click the Delete icon next to the WorkGroup name in the Existing WorkGroups panel.

Setting the Workgroup priority
You can configure the priority of a Workgroup during Workgroup setup or modify it later
from the Workgroup dashboard. To set the priority for a WorkGroup from the dashboard, complete the
following steps:
- Click Workgroup in topology..
- Click the Policies tab.
- In the Priority list, select one of the following values:Note: Newly created Workgroups are assigned a Medium priority by default.
- High
- Medium
- Low
- Click Save & Update.
Post Move operation
To Clean up, Recover, or
Re-sync workgroup after a move operation, complete the following steps:
- Click Post Move Operations, then select Cleanup, Recovery, or Re-Sync from the drop down and confirm the action.
