Agents

Each device in the identity ecosystem operates with edge layer software, referred to as Edge Agents.

  • Edge Agents: Each edge agent synchronizes with cloud layer agents and serves as endpoints for offline interactions. An edge agent manages the generation and use of cryptographic keys and other secure artifacts. Communication between edge agents happens directly by using protocols like Bluetooth, NFC, or mesh networks. Edge agents can also establish secure connections with cloud agents.
  • Edge Wallet: An edge wallet is responsible for managing key and data storage, acting as the primary storage handler for private keys through secure elements or trusted platform modules.
