Server Components

IBM Verify Directory provides a trusted identity data infrastructure for authentication through the following server capabilities:
  • LDAP Server

    Directory data is stored on a database backend for reliability and optimized performance: DB2 for software deployments and PostgreSQL for container-based deployments.

  • Proxy Server

    Routes LDAP operations to IBM Verify Directory LDAP servers with database.

  • Virtual Directory Server

    Routes LDAP operations to other LDAP V3-compliant servers.

Administration and Deployment
  • IBM Verify Directory includes:
    • Web Administration Tool that can be deployable on WebSphere Application Server or WAS Liberty.
    • Administration and configuration utilities available through both command-line and graphical interfaces.
