Using the command line
You can use the commands provided here at the command line utility to create your backup file.
About this task
On the server that you are using as the source server,
if it does not already exist, create the backup directory, <backupdir>.
Then issue the command:idsdbback -k <backupdir>
-I <instance_name>Where backupdir is
the name of the backup directory you are creating. Make note of the
exact directory path of the back up directory. This location is required
for a successful restoration of data.
