The following restrictions and limitations apply to the IBM® Storage Virtualize Plugin for Veeam Backup and Replication.

The following restrictions apply when using storage partitions with IBM Storage Virtualize Plugin for Veeam Backup and Replication:
  • You cannot register a storage partition in Veeam Backup and Replication by using the partition IP address in the current release.
  • Each storage partition must have a dedicated backup proxy configured. You cannot share one backup proxy across multiple storage partitions.
  • You must manually create a Veeam iSCSI initiator host object for each backup proxy in the designated partition.
  • The FlashCopy workflow is not supported with storage partitions. For partitioned volumes, use the Snapshot V2 (volume group snapshot) workflow.
