Verify that all compatibility and requirement conditions are met before you install the IBM® Storage Virtualize Plugin for Veeam Backup and Replication.

The installation of Veeam Backup and Replication and the IBM Storage Virtualize Plugin for Veeam Backup and Replication 2.4.2.0 includes the following components:

Installing Veeam Backup and Replication

Installing IBM Storage Virtualize Plugin for Veeam Backup and Replication

  1. Download the IBM Storage Virtualize Plugin for Veeam Backup and Replication installer from Release Information for IBM FlashSystem Plugin for Veeam Backup and Replication.
  2. Ensure that no backup or replication jobs are running.
  3. Stop the following services on the Veeam Backup and Replication server:
    • Veeam backup service
    • Veeam CDP coordinator service
    • Veeam data analyzer service
  4. Run the installer by executing the downloaded .exe file on the Veeam Backup and Replication server.
  5. Follow the installation wizard to complete the plugin installation.
  6. After installation, restart the following services:
    • Veeam backup service
    • Veeam CDP coordinator service
    • Veeam data analyzer service
