System settings

You can use the System Settings page to configure a number of system functions and features from a single location.

Mail Server Settings

The settings in this section of the System Setting page are used to configure a SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server. An SMTP must be configured to send email notifications. See Configuring the server to send notifications for descriptions related to the mail server setting.

Feature flags

Some product features are optional or they are considered experimental. You use the Feature Flags settings to control these optional features by toggling them on and off.

Banner Message

Display a message in the IBM UrbanCode Release title bar.

Enter a message in the text field. The message is displayed for all users.
Deploy Now Option Schedule deployment for the current time and automatically start the deployment after it is created
Deployment Execution Automatic Update The number of seconds the scheduled execution page automatically updates segment timing data. The default is 10 seconds.
Hide Groups in Task Dialog Do not show groups on the Task page

Enable ability to add custom links to the Help menu.

Improved Permission Check Query for Derby The server uses an alternate SQL query when checking user permissions. Provides a significant performance improvement when using the Derby database that is included with the product.
Incremental Segment Rendering When viewing a deployment plan, segments are not rendered until they are scrolled into view.
