IBM Db2 Administration Foundation for z/OS
Db2® Administration Foundation is a complimentary offering that includes basic database administration capabilities, such as searching and exploring the Db2 catalog, running Db2 and DSN commands, and editing and running SQL statements. When Db2 Administration Foundation is fully configured with its supporting products, you can also use it to work with accelerators, create and manage workloads, and analyze and tune SQL statements.

- Search with or without filters across your entire sysplex to retrieve the Db2 objects you need.
- Drill down on any of the retrieved items, represented with a visual object type, to find related objects.
- Run Db2 and DSN commands Parameters tab.
- Edit and run SQL by using an intelligent SQL editor.
- Features for analyzing and tuning SQL statements
- With the addition of IBM® SQL Tuning Services, you have access to a variety of SQL analysis and tuning tools to improve the performance of single SQL statements and SQL statements that comprise a workload. - Features for working with accelerators and accelerated queries
- The ability to work with accelerators and accelerated queries is provided by the Db2 Analytics Accelerator Administration Services component of IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS®. A series of dashboards provide you with an overview of your accelerator environment and allow you to update tables, view accelerated queries, and monitor accelerators based on various characteristics, including system utilization, data slices, current tasks, finished tasks, and incremental updates.
