Db2 DevOps Experience installation roadmap
The installation of Db2® DevOps Experience involves installing multiple components.
Before you start the installation, ensure to complete the following tasks:
- Plan system capacity as described in Capacity planning.
- Meet the hardware and software requirements of Unified Management Server as described in Hardware requirements for UMS and Software requirements for Unified Management Server.
- Meet the software requirements of Db2 DevOps Experience as described in Software requirements for Db2 DevOps Experience.
- Ensure dedicated ports for communicating across component systems and services, as described in Network and port requirements.
- Know the privileges to perform the UMS installation, see UMS roles and responsibilities.
- For the notation of ZWEYAML parameters, see YAML format.

After installing Zowe and IBM Unified Management Server for z/OS, you can install the IBM Db2 DevOps Experience for z/OS as a plugin.
