i-doit Data Source
i-doit is a CMDB conforming to ITIL best practices. This data source allows connecting to an i-doit server for importing assets and links into Txture.
Txture uses the JSON-RPC api to communicate with the i-doit server. Please follow the configuration instructions provided by i-doit if the API is not configured/installed yet.
Connection configuration
The i-doit datasource requires the following configuration:
- Server URL - The URL of your i-doit instance (must be reachable from the Txture server)
- Username - Username of a user with read permissions
- Password - Password for the user
- API-Key - The API key for the JSON-RPC API (can be found/configured within i-doit at Administration → Interfaces / external data → JSON-RPC API)
- Request limit - Determines how many requests are batched into a single HTTP request (this drastically reduces the number of requests needed but increases the memory requirements on your i-doit server)

The following example shows the configuration to the official i-doit demo server (note that API-key may have changed):
Importer capabilities
The importer supports importing assets, links, and properties from i-doit's object structure. The usual filtering and dynamic columns tools of Txture's importing infrastructure can be used normally.
Creating importers
After configuring the data source, you can create auto-configured importers to bring data from i-doit into Txture.
