Note: IBM service typically performs this operation and it is recommended that you do not make any
changes.
Complete this task to test the Electronic Customer Care connection.
This feature can be used to help both setting up and troubleshooting problems with ECC call
home.
Procedure
From the System Console GUI, select Call Home
Settings > Test ECC Connectivity. The Test ECC
Connectivity screen appears as shown in Figure 1

To test connectivity to the ECC servers, click Test Connection. The test
begins immediately, and you see the results of the test on the screen.
Note: If any of the tests report NOT OK, the listed IP address and port need to be opened
through the customers firewall in order to gain access to the ECC service.

To cancel the connectivity test, click Cancel Test while the test is
active.
If you want to see the current IP address and ports that are used by ECC, click Show
ECC Info. You see results similar to the following image.
Note: All IP addresses and ports must be allowed through a customers network in order to use all ECC
features.
