For the procedures to adjust these settings on the TSSC, refer the topics below.

Display Resolution

Note: IBM service typically performs this operation and it is recommended that you do not make any changes.

The TSSC dynamically queries the monitor to which it is attached to provide display resolution settings. If any settings are available other than the default, they will be available in the drop-down menu in this section. To adjust the display resolution on the TSSC, perform the steps below.

  1. To test how the selected resolution looks on the system, click Change Resolution from the Console Display.
  2. If it is acceptable, you can make it persistent across reboots by clicking Make Persistent.
  3. If it is unacceptable, you can revert back to the default setting by clicking Restore to Default.

Screen Saver

Note: IBM service typically performs this operation and it is recommended that you do not make any changes.

The TSSC provides a simple screen saver that can be enabled on the Console Display screen.

  1. To activate the screen saver, select an appropriate period of inactivity in minutes in Timeout Value. This represents the number of inactive minutes before the screen saver is initiated.
  2. Click Enable/Start.

When the screen saver is enabled, the button changes to Disable/Stop. To change the timeout setting, do the following:

    1. Click Disable/Stop.
    2. Enter a new setting in Timeout Value.
    3. Click Enable/Start.
