System Console Menu

This section provides brief description of the various sections available on the menu screen. The System Console menu screen is as shown in the figure below.

  • Attached Systems: This menu option allows you to add a new attached system using the IP address to the system console. For more information, refer Configuring Attached Systems.
  • Backup/Restore: This menu option allows you to backup or restore configuration settings. For more information, refer Planning Backup/Restore.
  • Call Home Queue:This menu allows you to view Call Home entries in the console. For more information, refer Accessing Call Home Queue.
  • Call Home Settings: This menu allows you to configure Call Home settings. For more information, refer Managing Call Home Settings.
  • Console Settings: This menu allows you to set up the system console External and Grid Network Interfaces. For more information, refer Accessing Console Settings.
  • Fix Acquisition: This feature allows you to find and download system and microcode updates for IBM Tape Storage devices. For more information, refer Fix Acquisition.
  • Network Information: This menu allows you to view information about the systems network connections. For more information, refer Managing network information.
  • Console Time: This menu allows you to set the date and time on the system console. For more information, refer Console Time.
  • PE Package: This menu allows you to create a Product Engineering (PE) package. For more information, refer PE Packages.
  • System Tools: This menu allows TSSC to broadcast control unit code copied from media sources. For more information, refer Maintaining system tools.
  • System Console Product Information: This section lists system information such as Machine serial number, Machine Type - Model and the LIC level installed in the system.
  • Installed Patches: This section shows the patches that are installed on the TSSC.
  • Quick Functions: This section provides toggle switches which can Start/Stop the remote access services.
