Remote Access

The customer user (usually an administrator) can access the system console remotely through a web browser.

Refer to the following table for a list of supported browsers.
Table 1. Supported browsers
Browser Version supported
Microsoft Edge 25.x
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, 10 or 11
Mozilla Firefox 24.0, 24.x ESR, 31.0, 31.x ESR, 38.0, 38.x ESR or higher
Chrome Chrome 39.x or Chrome 42.x
To connect to the system console through a web browser, perform the following steps:
  1. In the address bar of a supported browser, enter https:// followed by the system console IP address or host name, followed by /TSSC.
    For example, https://<IP address>/TSSC or https://<hostname>/TSSC
    Notes:
    • Port 443 must be open in the firewall settings to remotely access the System console management GUI.
    • If port 80 is open in addition to port 443, then the URL <IP address>/TSSC or <hostname>/TSSC can be used to access the System console management GUI.
    • When connecting to the System console management GUI, a message about the connection being insecure will be displayed. This is expected behavior due to the use of a self-signed certificate.
  2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard or the Go button on your web browser.
  3. Enter the Login customer and the proper password, then click Login. The System console management GUI Welcome Page is displayed. For the very first login, default password is customer, and, it will be requested to be changed.
