Starting the Data Protection for SQL Server command-line interface
You can start the Data Protection for SQL Server command-line interface by using a Windows command prompt with administrative privileges. Alternatively, you can start the command-line interface from Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
Procedure
- Start MMC.
- In the navigation tree, select the computer node where you want to run the commands.
- Expand the Protect and Recover Data node.
- In the navigation tree, select an SQL Server node.
- Click the Automate tab. An integrated command line is available in the task window. You can use the interface to enter PowerShell cmdlets or command-line interface commands. The output is displayed in the main window.
- From the drop-down list, change PowerShell to Command Line.
