Optfile

The optfile option specifies the client options file to use when you start a Tivoli® Storage Manager session.

This option is valid for all clients.

Parameters

file_name
Specifies an alternate client options file, if you use the fully qualified path name. If you specify only the file name, Tivoli Storage Manager assumes the file name specified is located in the current working directory. The default is dsm.opt.

AIX operating systemsHP-UX operating systemsLinux operating systemsOracle Solaris operating systemsMac OS X operating systemsRestriction: Specify the full path when you use this option with the client acceptor daemon (dsmcad), because the client acceptor daemon changes its working directory to root ("/") after initialization.

This option is valid only on the initial command line. It is not valid in interactive mode.
