As conditions change, you can move data from one server
to another by using export and import processes.
About this task
You might need to balance workload among servers by moving
client nodes from one server to another. The following methods are
available:
- You can export part or all of a server's data to sequential media,
such as tape or a file on hard disk. You can then take the media to
another server and import the data to that server
- You can export part or all of a server's data and import the data
directly to another server, if server-to-server communications are
set up.
