When managing your server operations, you can choose from
a variety of associated tasks.
Some of the more common tasks that you can perform to manage your
server operations are shown in the following list:
- Start and stop the server.
- Allow and suspend client sessions with the server.
- Query, cancel, and preempt server processes such as backing up
the server database.
- Customize server options.
Other tasks that are needed less frequently include:
- Maintain compliance with the license agreement.
- Move the server.
