Explanation

The current cluster's state prevents copy operations. Inbound copy operations are disabled by the system. When the limiting condition is resolved, copy operations can begin again, including all volumes that were modified while copies were disabled.

Possible limiting conditions include:

  1. Copy operations manually disabled by the host library request at the disabled cluster.
  2. The disabled cluster is in Service Mode.
  3. The disabled cluster is in Service Prep Mode.
  4. The disabled cluster is offline.
  5. The disabled cluster is out of physical scratch volumes.
  6. There are not enough physical drives in an available or online state on the disabled cluster.
  7. The physical library at the disabled cluster is unavailable.
  8. The local TS7700 Engine cache is full.

Operator response

  1. Check the status of any degraded cluster on the Cluster Summary page.
  2. Contact your system administrator.
  3. Use the Grid Summary page to verify the health of the grid:
    • Check if the disabled cluster has events.
  4. Use the Cluster Summary page to verify the health of the cluster:
    • Bring the cluster online.
    • Bring the physical library into an available state.
    • Check the status of the local TS7700 Engine cache.
    • Check if the cluster has events.
  5. If the disabled cluster has an out-of-physical-scratch condition, make additional scratch volumes available by:
    • Inserting them through the convenience I/O or high capacity rack.
    • Moving some scratch volumes from another pool to this pool.
    • Performing a reclaim operation.
    • Enabling borrowing from another pool with scratch volumes.
