Incoming copy queue
Use this page to view the virtual volume incoming copy queue for a IBM® TS7700 cluster.
The incoming copy queue represents the amount of data waiting to be copied to a cluster. Data written to a cluster in one location can be copied to other clusters in a grid to achieve uninterrupted data access. You can specify which clusters (if any) copies reside on, and how quickly copy operations occur. Each cluster maintains its own list of copies to acquire, then satisfies that list by requesting copies from other clusters in the grid according to queue priority.
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
Copy Type | The type of copy that resides in queue. Possible values are:
|
Quantity | The total number of copies in queue for each type. |
Last TVC Cluster | Note: This column is only shown when View by Last TVC
is selected.
The name of the cluster where the copy last resided in tape volume cache (TVC).
Although this may not be the cluster from which the copy is received, the majority of copies are
typically obtained from the TVC cluster. If the Unassigned TVC column is displayed, copies shown in that column exist but are not yet assigned to a cluster. Once a cluster is selected to receive the copy, the copy is displayed under that cluster. |
Size | Total size of the queue, displayed in GiB. Note: Refer to the topic Data storage values in the Related
Information section for additional information concerning the use of binary prefixes.
When Copy
Type is selected this value is per copy type. When View by Last
TVC is selected this value is per cluster. |
You can change the appearance of the Copy Queue table.
To... | Do this: |
---|---|
Change the organization of the table | Select View by Queue Type to organize the data
primarily by queue type. Select View by Last TVC Cluster to organize the data primarily by cluster name. |
Download a CSV file of all queue data on the table | Select Actions > Download. If no volumes exist in queue
the text of the file will state, "No volumes exist in the queue." Note: Excel removes leading zeros
from downloaded .csv files. To preserve leading zeros in files your download, refer to Preserving leading zeros in downloaded data.
