Create object policy

You can create an object policy in the object policy page.

To create an object policy, complete the following steps:
  1. Click Create Object Policy.
    The Create Object Policy window appears as shown in the following figure:

  2. In the Policy Information tab, provide the following policy information:
    • Name of the policy in the Policy Name field.
    • Description of the policy in the Description field.
  3. Click Next.

    You are redirected to the Replication tab as shown in the following figure:

  4. For each object-enabled TS7700 cluster, you need to choose the desired copy mode for each cluster. This copy mode is used during an object PUT operation in the PUT target cluster. You can set the copy mode in either of the following ways:

    • Select the copy mode for the object-enabled cluster from each cluster drop-down.
    • Use a preset or an existing policy as the starting template by selecting an appropriate option from the Fill in replication setting from drop-down and click Apply.
    Note: The replication tab is available only for the clusters with the object store feature license enabled.
  5. Click Next.
    The replication policy settings that are selected are displayed in the Summary tab as shown in the following figure:

  6. If the information provided is correct, click Finish. Otherwise, to modify the policy information, click Back.

    If you want to discontinue with creating a new policy, click Cancel.
