Monitoring Cache Disk Rebuilds

Use this page to review disk rebuild tasks for an IBM® TS7700 cluster.

When a CSA/XSA Cache subsystem has a DDM performing a rebuild, the Management Interface shows its progress under the Tasks page. To access this page, once on the Management interface page for the specific cluster, hover over the top label showing Cluster Summary and select Tasks.

Note: Tasks are displayed only for clusters that operate at microcode level 8.30.0.xx or later.

Information is displayed on the Tasks table for 30 days after the operation stops or the event or action becomes inactive.

Tasks are used to show the status of the cache for the following events:
  • Array : Reconstruction and Copyback operations
  • DDP : Reconstruction, Critical Rebuild and Rebalance operations

Each task shows the start time and a status bar with percentage complete with the estimated time remaining as seen in Figure 1.
