Actions menu

Use this menu to change the appearance of clusters on the Grid Summary panel or grid identification details. When the grid includes a disk-only TS7700 you can also use this menu to change TS7700 removal threshold settings.

Order by Cluster ID
Select this option to group clusters according to their cluster ID number. Ordered clusters are shown first from left to right, then front to back. Only one ordering option can be selected at a time.
Note: The number shown in parentheses in breadcrumb navigation and cluster labels is always the cluster ID.
Order by Families
Select this option to group clusters according to their family association.
Show Families
Select this option to display a family label for each cluster associated with a family. This option is automatically enabled if you select the Order by Family option.
Cluster Families
Select this option to add, modify, or delete cluster families used in the grid.
Refer to Cluster families for additional information.
Modify Grid Identification
Select this option to change values for a grid nickname or description.
The grid nickname must consist of 1-8 alphanumeric characters. These special characters are also allowed:
blank @ . - +
Blank spaces cannot be used in first or last character positions.
The grid description has a maximum length of 63 characters.
TS7700D Temporary Removal Thresholds
Select this option to temporarily lower the removal threshold for any disk-only TS7700 in the grid.
Refer to Temporary Removal Thresholds for additional information.
Note: This option is disabled if the grid possesses a physical library but the selected cluster does not. This option is not visible if the grid does not possess a physical library.
Cluster States > Fence cluster
Select this option to place one or more clusters into a fenced state.
Cluster States > Unfence cluster
Select this option to unfence a selected cluster that is currently in a fenced state.
Note: This option is shown only when a cluster is already in a fence state.
