TS7700C configuration consists of the Cloud Storage Service provider, a TS7700 with FC 5278 and
GRID network connection.Figure 1. TS7700 3957-VEC stand-alone with 2 or 4 Ethernet connections
The TS7700C is created by installing and configuring the FC 5278 cloud enablement on a running
TS7700.
Customer responsibility before an FC 5278 installation:
The Cloud Storage Service provider must be installed, configured, and, accessible. (IBM COS or
Amazon ASW)
The information used to configure for the Cloud Storage Service is also used to enable FC
5278.
The information is added to Table 1 of the FC 5278 instructions.
Cables
(Stand-alone cluster) Ethernet cables or Fiber cables (Fiber over Ethernet) will need to be
installed and configured to the network.
(GRID) - No additional cables needed.
Verify that all clusters in the GRID are at 8.42.x.x or higher.
