Cancel virtual volumes delete

Use the instructions on this page to cancel deletion of a virtual volume range in the IBM® TS7700.

Before you begin

This task is completed using the Tasks page of the TS7700 Management Interface.

About this task

After a virtual volume delete has been initiated, you can cancel the delete operation.

Procedure

  1. If the operation has not completed, navigate to the Tasks page and select the running operation to be cancelled.
    Note: Some running tasks and operations cannot be cancelled.
  2. Select Cancel Task from the Actions menu.
  3. The Task Status page is displayed. To initiate the cancellation, click the Cancel this operation button. If you do not have sufficient permissions to cancel a virtual volume delete, the button is greyed out.
  4. On the confirmation window that appears, click OK to continue with the cancellation or Cancel to abandon the process.
  5. The cancellation starts and you remain on the Task Status page while the Current Step is set to Cancelling. Click the refresh button to see the latest status.
  6. When the cancellation is complete, refer to the Completed/Failed operations (Last Month) table to see the results of the cancellation. In the Result field for the Delete virtual volumes entry, click the Failed or Completed hyperlink.
  7. The Properties modal window opens. The Operation Details field shows details of the cancellation, including the number of volumes deleted before the cancellation was issued.
