Copy queue
The copy queue graphic displays volume and count information for a cluster’s incoming copy queue. This graphic is visible on the main view of the Grid Summary panel when incoming copies are queued for that cluster.
Note: Queue volume is displayed in decimal and binary units. Refer
to the topic Data Storage Values in the Related
information section for a discussion of the difference between
these units.
The copy queue graphic is a vertical bar graphic that is shown to the right of a cluster image
when any copy queue exists. Table 1
describes the information displayed on the copy queue bar. Hover over the bar to show a pop-up
window containing additional information, as described in Table 2. Click the vertical bar to launch the
Incoming Copy Queue panel for the cluster.
Copy Queue properties displayed include:
- The queue peak over a 24-hour period
- The total size of all combined queues
- The total size of combined normal and expected queues
- The total size of combined abnormal and unexpected queues
- The growth trend of the overall queue
Bar element | Description | Example |
---|---|---|
Peak Queue | The maximum volume of the incoming copy queue over a 24-hour period. | The copy queue bar example Figure 1 displays the following values:
![]() |
Expected/Normal Queue | The total volume of current queues that are expected to occur during normal
operations, including:
|
|
Unexpected/Warning | The total volume of current queues that have
resulted from unexpected or abnormal operations, including:
|
|
Trending arrow | The queue trend arrow shows whether the total combined queue is growing (up arrow) or shrinking (down arrow). |
Hover over the copy queue graphic to display the pop-up window
containing additional information about the copy queue, including:
Element | Description | Example |

Queue Counts | A value is shown for every queue currently existing
on the cluster. The following Normal/Expected queues are shown in
blue:
|
|
Longest Queued Copy | The length of time that the oldest copy has resided in the queue. Value is displayed as: hh:mm:ss. Time Delayed Copy queue items are not included in this element display | |
Longest Time Delayed Copy | The length of time that the oldest Time Delayed Copy has been in the queue. Value is displayed as: hh:mm:ss. This line is only visible if Time Delayed Copies exist in the queue. | |
Longest Time Family Deferred Copy | The length of time that the oldest family deferred copy has resided in the queue. Value is displayed as:hh:mm:ss. Time Delayed Copy queue items are not included in this element display. | |
Queue Trend | Whether the queue volume trend has been increasing or decreasing during the past 15 minutes. |
