HYDIN0100I (OP0100) A read-only physical volume stacked volume cartridge label has been ejected.

Explanation

During a previous operation with the stacked volume, the TS7700 Engine encountered an unrecoverable error, indicating that the media of the volume may be damaged. During that operation, data was not recovered fully, resulting in the job ending. The stacked volume was placed in read-only status to limit its use to recall of other virtual volumes.

On an hourly basis, the TS7700 Engine determines whether there are any stacked volumes in read-only status and starts a process that moves the valid virtual volumes to other stacked volumes, then ejects the stacked volume from the virtual library. For virtual volumes not recovered nor moved to other stacked volumes, refer to message HYDIN0107W.

Operator response

  1. Remove the cartridge from the convenience I/O station.
  2. Notify your system administrator.
  3. If the cartridge is still within a warranty period and damaged, return it to your supplier.
  4. If damaged virtual volumes must be recovered, contact your IBM service representative.
