Remove the cartridge from the convenience I/O station.

Inspect the cartridge's seventh character. Install a readable seventh character representing the
media type. Newer media types may be represented by the seventh and eighth readable characters. See
the tape drive operator's guide for the procedure. 

Place the cartridge in the convenience I/O station.
