Adding SSL certificates for the Cloud

Procedure for adding SSL certificates for the Cloud.

About this task

Attention: If you want to use HTTPS to communicate with IBM COS, you first have to retrieve the certificate from the IBM COS server. Then when you create the cloud URL, you need to set the Certificate Alias to be that certificate alias you just created.

Procedure

  1. Log into the TS7700 MI and select the Access icon on the left side of the panel- SSL Certificates.
  2. Press the New Certificate button.
  3. In the Add Certificate tab, select Retrieve certificate from server. Press the Next button.
  4. In the next tab enter the Cloud IP and Port. ( Example: IBM COS Management IP and Port = 443 ). Press the Next button.
  5. In the Add Certificate tab, enter a alias name. ( Example: CloudCertificate1). Press the Finish button.
  6. A window indicating that the certificate has been added successfully will appear. Select the Close button.
  7. Continue with creating the cloud URL.
    Note: When the cloud URL's are being created, use the alias name that was defined above for Certificate Alias.
