Library

The library represents the physical tape library and its current library level settings.

Get library
Retrieves information about the library and its settings. This only returns a single resource.
Prepare for ship
Issued before physical shipment of the library to ensure cartridges, drives, and other library components are in a safe state during this process.
Modify capacity utilization threshold
Sets information such as the library location description, address, and personal contact information of the library administrator.
Modify dual accessor utilization threshold
Modifies the threshold at which cartridges are moved to accessor service areas in the end frames of the library. This option is only applicable for dual-accessor libraries with Elastic Capacity enabled.
Modify NTP settings
Modifies the settings for the NTP servers and NTP mode. This can be used to enable or disable using the NTP servers to set the date/time of the library or to modify the addresses of the primary and/or secondary NTP servers. A test of the NTP servers should be performed separately to ensure they are accessible by the library.
Restart library
Restarts the library. While the library is restarting, it will be unable to process move commands issued by the hosts through control path drives. However, access to the data on the currently mounted drives will not be impeded.
Rename library
Sets the user-defined name of the library. This library name is used to identify the library in the REST API, GUI, and CLI. It is not communicated to the host.
Restore library configuration
Restores the library configuration by using the library configuration data exported earlier from the same library.
Save library configuration
Saves the library configuration to a file external to the library. This file can be used to restore the library configuration.
Set customer information
Sets information such as the library location description, address, and personal contact information of the library administrator.
Set library time and date
Sets the time and date of the library.
Set library time zone
Manually sets the time zone of the library. This time zone is used when fetching the data and time from a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server or if the date and time were set manually for the library.
