The service aids described in the following sections are accessible through the AIX® diagnostic subsystem by using the AIX diag command and in the Task Selection menu by selecting IBM Tape Drive Service Aids. Refer to Tape drive service aids details.

Tape drive service aids are also available by using the IBM Tape Diagnostic Tool (ITDT).
