Newsletter Q3 2024

IBM Trusteer Pinpoint Detect

Efficacy

  • To effectively leverage the risky account consortium in your region, we continue to recommend that you follow the best practices described in the documentation and to provide the IBAN or account number and hash the value with the SHA-256 algorithm.
  • To help customers to better use the Pinpoint API and to more accurately identify sessions, we added 3 new activities that customers can use in Pinpoint API requests: access_recovery, change_details, and enrollment. For more information, see Use Cases and pinpoint_eval Handler Request.

Performance, Stability, and Compliance

In this quarter we improved timing issues with behavioral biometrics collection and we enhanced our monitoring capabilities.

IBM Trusteer Pinpoint Assure

Behavioral biometrics

Behavioral biometrics data is now processed for sessions without a PUID to enhance the protection that Pinpoint can provide.

Data retention

The period after which some collected data is hashed has been updated to 180 days. See the IBM Trusteer Pinpoint Assure Data Handling Guide and the New Account Fraud Data Handling Guide.

  • New report view - In the Systems reports, we added a new report view for Marketing name that allows you to view the number of sessions for each device based on the user friendly name for the device.
  • Sessions tab - In the main menu of Trustboard, we added a Sessions tab, which you can use to view all sessions in Trustboard for both alerted and nonalerted sessions.
