Setting up inventory storage area

The inventory storage area is the bin, cabinet, or shelf where the inventory is kept. For example, you can have a storeroom with aisles, racks, shelves, and bins. You can create many levels of storage area in the inventory hierarchy.

Procedure

  1. Select Inventory > Manage Inventory > Inventory Locations.
  2. In the Hierarchy pane, click New and select Storage Area.
  3. On the General tab, enter the details of the storage areas.
  4. In the Details section, for the inventory location class, select Storage Area.
  5. Create and activate the record.
