Assigning cycle count work tasks

As an inventory manager, you need to get a count of the actual inventory items in stock and ensure that your records are accurate. You assign the cycle count work task to the service technician.

1. Select the Inventory tab.
2. In the Related Links - Inventory pane, select Inventory Manager.
3. On the Inventory tab, select the Inventory Items - Reorder/Count tab.
4. Select the items to be counted.
5. Click the Count Task action.
6. On the General and Work Details tabs, ensure that the details are correct and complete.
7. On the Resources tab, assign the person that you want to do the work.
8. Click Activate.

Results

The service technician sees the work task for the cycle count on the task list. When you receive the updated count, you can adjust the quantity of the inventory item.
