As a lease accountant, you can create a journal entry event setup from a journal entry
event setup template.
Before you begin
You must sign in as a Lease Accountant.
Procedure
- Go to .
- Click Add.
- In the Contract Journal Entry Setup Utility form, enter the
Reason for Update in the General section.
- In the details section, enter the following:

Select Asset Lease or Real Estate Lease |
Default Record Journal |
This will check the Record Journal on all the Journal Entry Event Setup records
created. |
- Under Contract Journal Entry Event Setup Template section, click
Find.
- Select all the Contract Journal Entry Event Setup Templates that need to be created as Lease
Journal Entry Event Setup for the selected business unit and click
OK.
- Click Create and then click
Process.
- Go to .
- After the process is completed, the Journal Entry Event Setup records with associated
Journal Entry Setup records will be created for those selected Journal Entry Event Setup Template
records for the selected business unit.
Note: If a Journal Entry Event Setup record already exists, then the system will merge from Journal
Entry Event Setup Template record. While processing the Contract Journal Entry Setup Utility,
if the logic encounters Journal Entry Templates with similar types (different versions but the
same properties). Those Journal Entry Templates will be moved to the 'Duplicate Journal Entry
Event Templates' section, which displays an attention message to the user.
