Edit a Technology Pack content

The pack rule content that is handcrafted can be validated on the Update Pack rule page before it is deployed. You can make the corrections and deploy.

Edit a pack JAR content

  1. For a specific pack on the Pack service page click the Edit (Edit icon) icon.

    Pack JAR Edit window opens with the pack details.

  2. You can update only the following details:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Version
  3. Click Commit.
  4. Enter a comment in the text area and click Confirm.

Edit a pack rule

  1. Click the More actions (More actions icon) icon for a specific Technology Pack from the table and select SNMP rule for SNMP packs or Pack rule for all other packs.
    Note: Pack rule option is available for the packs that are created by using the Pack Service.
  2. Edit the existing pack rule content.
    Validate the content from the Pack service UI itself.
    Note: Currently, validation is not applicable for SNMP Technology Packs.

Edit the pack content

  1. Click the More actions (More actions icon) icon for a specific Technology Pack from the table and select Pack content.

    Pack content is any extra content that is available in a Technology Pack other than the content in the Pack rule.

  2. In the Pack content window, you can perform the following actions:
    • Click the Search table (Search table icon) icon to search for a particular formula from the table.
    • Click the Refresh (Refresh image) icon to refresh the contents.
    • Click the Filter (Filter icon) icon to select a file type within the pack content and click Apply. You might see the following file types:
      • metric
      • formula
      • model
      • pipeline
      • nifiTemplate
      • other
