Stopping and starting the Impact Server

Use this procedure to stop and start the Impact Server.

Procedure

  • On UNIX systems, use the following scripts to stop or start the Impact Server.

    The scripts are in the $IMPACT_HOME/bin directory.

    1. To stop the Impact Server, enter the following command at the command line: 
      $IMPACT_HOME/bin/stopImpactServer.sh
    2. To start the Impact Server, enter the following command at the command line: 
      $IMPACT_HOME/bin/startImpactServer.sh
  • On Windows systems, use the following scripts to stop or start the Impact Server.

    The scripts are in the %IMPACT_HOME%\bin directory.

    1. To stop the Impact Server, enter the following command at the command line: 
      %IMPACT_HOME%\bin\stopImpactServer.bat
    2. To start the Impact Server, enter the following command at the command line: 
      %IMPACT_HOME%\bin\startImpactServer.bat
    On a Windows system, you can also start and stop the Impact Server from the Services panel.

    In the Start menu, select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.

    1. To stop the Impact Server, in the Services window, right-click Tivoli Netcool Impact Server and select Properties. In the Properties dialog box, click Stop and then click OK.
    2. To start the Impact Server, in the Services window, right-click Tivoli Netcool Impact Server and select Properties. In the Properties dialog box, click Start and then click OK.
