Hints and tips to manage stock image

Some additional notes and tips are provided to effectively manage the stock image system.

ACS routines provided on stock image
The SMS configuration that is documented in Customized SMS configuration in a stock image replaces the ACS routines that are provided by stock image.
Using the esoteric devices
Esoteric devices are made obsolete by SMS because all the default allocations of data will be directed to SMS-managed volumes, and the esoteric specification in JCL might be overridden. With no need to remember and specify appropriate esoteric names for JCL DD statements, the requirement of coding JCL can be simplified.
