About this document
The Dynamic Test Engine is a feature offered by the IBM z/OS Debugger component. It allows a user to record the interactions of a program under test with other programs and subsystems. From this point on, the program under test can run under governance of the Dynamic Test Engine without the need for the partner programs and subsystems, as the Dynamic Test Engine will replay the recorded replies on behalf of those programs and subsystems.
This document focuses on z/OS Debugger configuration tasks that are related to the Dynamic Test Engine. Refer to the IBM z/OS Debugger Customization Guide for information on customization of other services offered by z/OS Debugger.
The IBM Test Accelerator for Z product utilizes the Dynamic Test Engine feature of z/OS Debugger.
