Prerequisites for Early Development Testing Eclipse IDE

The following prerequisites must be installed and configured for Early Development Testing to be used in Eclipse.

• IBM Developer for z/OS 17.0.2 or later.

  For more information, see Installing Early Development Testing in Eclipse.

• The following IBM Developer for z/OS host components:
  • IBM Explorer for z/OS
  • IBM z/OS Debugger 17.0.2.1 or later, in particular the z/OS Debugger registration must be done and Debug Profile Service must be running. For more information, see Product enablement in IFAPRDxx and Adding support for Debug Profile Service and APIs.
  • IBM Dependency Based Build: this option is not required but strongly recommended because Early Development Testing for z/OS only supports local projects and does not support building with property groups.
