Function Description
Migration Planning Assistant TDMF includes a collection of programs and reports to automate and facilitate many aspects of TDMF migration planning, execution, and monitoring.

See Migration Planning Assistant.

TDMF Global Controller The TDMF Global Controller allows for grouping of multiple master sessions into a single TDMF global session.

See GTDGLBC (@GBLTDM) - TDMF Global Controller, SESSION parameters, Option 1 - Current sessions: monitor progress, and Option 2 - Current sessions: user interaction and status.

Limits for REFRESH The new SESSION option REFRESHMaximum limits the number of volumes that can concurrently enter the refresh 2 or higher phase to conserve replication resources.

See REFRESHMaximum, REFMAXimum, Option 1 - Current sessions: monitor progress, Option 2 - Current sessions: user interaction and status, and User interaction and status - information.

Migration of volumes containing local page data sets This version of TDMF supports migration of volumes containing local page data sets.

See Page and swap data sets.

GDPS controlling systems This version of TDMF eliminates the requirement for a TDMF Master or Agent system to be specified on the SESSION control statement for GDPS systems (including controlling systems) where migration volumes are offline.

See GDPS controlling systems.

HyperSwap requirements TDMF now supports multiple concurrent sessions containing HyperSwap volumes.

See Overview of quiescing and swapping a volume.

Parameter and option default and range updates Some parameter and option defaults or ranges are changed to accommodate user preferences:
Other updates to the documentation Operating system requirements previously located in the IBM Transparent Data Migration Facility (TDMF) for z/OS and IBM z/OS Data Set Mobility Facility (zDMF) Operating System Support Matrices have been moved to Operating system requirements.
