Complete this task to restore the IMM default
settings
on the ProtecTIER® server.
Procedure
Perform the following steps to reset
the IMM to default
values:
- From the login prompt at the command
line, log in to the
node as ptadmin/ptadmin.
- At
the command line, enter menu to access
the ProtecTIER Service menu.
- From the ProtecTIER Service menu,
select .
- When all services are DOWN, press Enter to
return to the menu, then type E to exit the
menu.
- Shut down the vtfd services by entering
the following command:
service vtfd shutdown
The
vtfd service completes the shutdown.
- Reboot
the node by entering the following command:
reboot
- During the reboot sequence, when presented on-screen
to
enter a function key to enter Setup, press F1.
- Under System Settings, select .
- Press F10 to
Save and Exit. The system reboots.
- When
the system recovers and returns to the command line,
log in as ptadmin/ptadmin.
- Enter menu to
access the ProtecTIER Service menu.
- From the ProtecTIER Service menu,
select .
- Follow, and enter in the relevant data to configure RAS
on the node.
- If this is a clustered system,
the Configure
RAS option must be run on both servers to update the IMM
settings with the correct IP addressing for connection to the TSSC.
