The most current versions of Red Hat Linux andProtecTIER® software are preinstalled on the 3958 DD5 servers in the TS7650G (Gateway), ProtecTIER V3.3.6.
Server rear view (VTL)
When configured for VTL, the 3958 DD5 servers are
equipped with the following components:
- Two Emulex Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBA)
- Two QLogic Fibre Channel HBAs
- One 1 gigabit (Gb) quad-port Ethernet adapter
- Two on-board Ethernet ports

When configured for OpenStorage or FSI, the 3958 DD5 servers are equipped with- One of the following Ethernet adapter configurations:
- Two dual-port QLogic Fibre Channel HBAs
- Two on-board Ethernet ports.
